I cast on last night for a little newborn pilot cap for a friend’s baby. I’m hoping I have enough yarn left in this ball for it, we shall see!
I haven’t been reading much this week, but still reading The Shepherd’s Life when I can. We are headed out of town on Saturday morning and I have been a busy bee preparing for that. I’m hoping for some long stretches of reading and knitting during the car ride and week away!

My husband and I are hitting the road soon as well. I’ve been trying to decide what to knit during the drive. I’m thinking a Botany shawl or an Offhand Lace shawl. Needs to be something on bigger needles with interesting stitches so I don’t fall asleep. Knitting in the car makes me really sleepy for some reason.
Knitting in the car… Totally have done lots of that over the past few weeks while we were out of town twice! Such a relief after all the packing and herding required to get a family on the road to wherever we are headed to just. sit. down. And knit!! And perhaps even have a conversation with the husband if the children cooperate :-)!
